Strategically speaking, would it have been better if we had captured Osama BL alive?

That's a tough call, but I don't think so. OBL would have been a martyr for the radicals... a figurehead for others in the Middle East... and a "cause celeb" for the peaceniks. From a strategic perspective... and a karmic perspective... he's better off being dead.
