How do i install the emperor 400 filters and cartridge?

hi i have a 100 gal fish tank i have the emperor 400 power filter just wanna know if i have the filters and cartridges set up right i took the cartridges apart placed one in the first slot the the othe half with the filter blue side facing back of the tank in the secound slot did this on both sides please help
