Surrogate mothers? Am I to young to think about it?

I'm 17, and first off not thinking of doing it right now! But I've always dreamed of doing it. It started when I began giving blood at a school blood drive, for some reason, I know it sounds silly, but I got this amazing feeling that my little bag of blood might save someones life, I felt like I was finally a part of something worthwhile. And now I've been thinking about in the future helping a family have a child of there own, giving them something they otherwise couldn't have. But am i to young to be looking into things like this?
