I have a question about a tb horse.?

i am getting a three year old Thoroughbred she is about 15.1 hands and she was to slow for the track. basically she didn't run fast enough to hurt her legs. she knows how to walk trot and canter and whoa on command and she is stocky built to. do you think she would make a good barrel horse. she has the height,build and good comformation so i think can can do it what do you guys think?
