Why'd he ask her out? I thought he liked me?

I can't see this getting better than it is now. This would be a continuous I-don't-know-why-he-does-those-things relationship. Relationships that start out clear usually stay that way. Relationships like this one keep getting more and more confused until life becomes a lot of arguments and accusations. He whacked you once pretty good on your feelings and it didn't register for him. Don't get a relationship where you're going to be the whacked one. It becomes a habit.
