If i look into the catholic church will i go to hell?

Hi i am a teenage guy and recently became a christian about 5 months ago... i go to a regular church...... and im curious about a catholic church near me and feel like i want to go in idk why it feels like im being drawn to it? but i am nervous and ive been told Catholics are scary and mean and that they think they are actually abe to eat Jesus when they eat bread.. and im not baptized........ and im getting nervous just writing this idk y lol but i kinda want to go into it and see what its like..... but i was wondering if i will go to hell if i wint into it? would it be breaking the worshiping other gods thing? i know its the same god but don't they kinda worship the pope guy? idk i must sound crazy....sorry.... any info would be helpful??? and will they say im going to hell?....
